Strep Throat Swab Testing
At Liddells Pharmacy, we offer quick and convenient strep throat swab testing to support fast diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Early detection can help prevent complications such as rheumatic fever.
How It Works
​1. Assessment
A pharmacist will begin by reviewing your symptoms to determine whether a test is appropriate.
2. Swab
If testing is needed, a trained pharmacist will take a quick and gentle throat swab.
3. Testing
Your results will be ready within minutes.
4. Treatment

Positive result: If your test is positive for strep and you meet the required criteria, we may be able to supply antibiotics. Patients under 12 years of age or anyone with contraindications will be referred to a doctor.

Negative result: If your test is negative, we can recommend supportive care for viral infections or refer you to a doctor if further assessment is needed.
